Tarun Marwaha, M.D.

Chairman of the Board

Dr. Marwaha is ABIM Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Nephrology. He has a long-standing reputation in Orange County as a knowledgeable and compassionate physician. He is deeply involved in the care for patients with Kidney disease and always aims to discover improved methods to care for his patients.

Eric Wechsler, M.D.

Chief Executive Officer

Dr. Wechsler believes very strongly that kidney disease and the associated conditions of heart disease and diabetes can be prevented or slowed with early detection and treatment. His general philosophy in medicine is to educate his patients so they will be empowered to aid the doctor in treating their disease.

Dayan Gandhi, M.D.

Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Gandhi is a well-versed nephrologist who diagnoses and treats patients in Northridge and Thousand Oaks, California. As a nephrologist, he specializes in the treatment of kidney disease, from diet and medication to renal replacement therapy. In addition to English, Dr. Gandhi speaks Spanish, Sindhi, and Hindi.

 

Bruce Greenfield, M.D.

Dr. Bruce Greenfield graduated from Albert Einstein College of Medicine, completing both his residency in Internal Medicine and his fellowship in Nephrology at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. He has been in private practice since 1986 and has also held various professional and academic positions such as Chief of Staff at California Hospital Medical Center and Clinical Instructor for the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA.

Sapna Singh Patel, M.D.

Dr. Patel serves as the Medical Director of several outpatient dialysis clinics and is actively involved in the betterment of clinical care for patients with Kidney Disease. She also participates in medical research as a clinical sub investigator. She has a special interest in CKD care and Glomerulonephritis.

Mandeep Sahani, M.D., M.S.

Dr. Sahani completed his medical education at Kasturba Medical College in Manipal, India, and his residency in Internal Medicine at Catholic Health Partners (Resurrection Health Care Systems), Chicago, Illinois. He is currently Chief Medical Officer at TeleNeph, Instructor of Medicine at Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science, Principal Investigator, Sub-Investigator Clinical Trials Research at Aventiv Research, Inc, and Medical Director for In Center and Home Dialysis at Gila River Healthcare.

 

Kambiz Vahabzadeh, M.D.

Dr. Vahabzadeh currently works in private practice while also seeing patients at HOAG Hospital. He enjoys seeing all types of nephrology patients, including patients on dialysis, patients with chronic kidney disease, patients with acute kidney injury, patients with resistant hypertension, patients with electrolyte disturbances, and patients with any other concerns within the nephrology specialty.

Steve Sawelson, M.D.

Chief Technology Officer

Dr. Sawelson is a Board-Certified Nephrologist who has practiced Nephrology for over 30 years in Torrance, California. He has interests in all aspects of Nephrology, with a special interest in pregnancy-associated hypertension, kidney disease, pre-eclampsia, pregnancy while on dialysis, and pregnancy when a kidney transplant is present.

Deb Harrop, FNP, APRN, PHN

Chief Nursing Officer

Debbie Harrop is a Family Nurse Practitioner whose commitment to patient-centered, culturally competent care is at the core of her practice philosophy. With diverse clinical experience in acute and chronic care of complex patients with multiple comorbidities, she is passionate about health promotion, patient engagement, and upstream kidney care. She currently leads NSIPA’s Care Management Program and works at several nephrology practices in OC and LA counties.

 

John Hsieh, M.D.

Dr. Hsieh received his medical degree from Tufts University and finished his Internal Medicine Residency at University of California Irvine Medical Center. His Nephrology Fellowship training was completed at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. He is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Nephrology. He is also on the volunteer faculty at University of California Irvine's Internal Medicine residency program as well as a guest lecturer for Memorial Family Medicine residency program and Saint Mary Internal Medicine residency program.

Hong S. Kim, M.D.

Dr. Kim graduated from Korea University Medical College, in Seoul, Korea and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Wyckoff Height Hospital, which is affiliated with SUNY downstate, in Brooklyn, N.Y. His Nephrology Fellowship was completed at Cornell Medical College New York Hospital, in New York, N.Y. Dr. Kim’s key areas of interest include home dialysis and hypertension management.

Nathaniel Dat Ho, M.D.

Dr. Ho is board certified in Nephrology and Internal medicine. He specializes in all aspects of nephrology with special interest in treating resistant hypertension and kidney stones. As a kidney donor to his brother with end-stage kidney failure, Dr. Ho has the experience to provide support and answers to his patients and family in regard to kidney disease, dialysis, donation, and the transplantation process.

 

Philip Yang, M.D.

A graduate from Tufts University School of Medicine, Dr. Philip Yang is constantly involved in the community, seeking to improve the health of his patients. He is always accessible to his patients and his office staff with a warm smile and a positive attitude. Korean speaking patients find comfort with Dr.Yang, as he speaks Korean fluently and has a wonderful bedside manner.

Brian Wang, M.D.

Dr. Wang moved to Orange County at the age of 10 years old and has called it home ever since. After graduating from Dana Hills High School, he attended University of California San Diego, double majored in Neuroscience/Physiology and Psychology. Dr. Wang found his true calling in Medicine while volunteering at the VA Medical Center in San Diego and performing neural stem cell research at the Scripps Research Institute.

Kevin Pham, M.D.

Dr. Kevin Pham is a nephrologist in Orange, California. He received his medical degree from University of California San Diego School of Medicine and has been in practice between for 25 years. His specialties include Internal Medicine and Nephrology. He treats conditions affecting the kidneys, such as renal failure, kidney stones, and chronic kidney disease.

Dr. Serota has over 30 years of experience in value-based care, as a practicing physician and in leading successful medical organizations. Dr. Serota is the Chief Executive Officer of Oasis Mental Health Applications, a mobile application designed to enhance the health and well-being of students and employees. He is also the Chief Medical Officer for Conversio Health, a respiratory disease pharmacy and care management program.

David Barrett, CPA

David Barrett is a Certified Public Accountant who acted as Chief Operating Officer of Assembly Biosciences from 2015 to 2018, and Chief Financial Officer from 2010 to 2018 at Assembly Biosciences, Inc. He served as Director of Fortress Biotech, Inc. from 2011 to 2015. From 2003 to 2006, he served as the Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Finance of Overture Asset Managers and Overture Financial Services, an asset management firm. From 1999 to 2003, he served as a Manager at Deloitte & Touche, LLP.

Joshua Raskin, CFA

Joshua Raskin, CFA is Co-Founder and Senior Research Analyst at Nephron Research LLC. Founded in 2017, Nephron is the leading independent research and consulting boutique focused on healthcare. Nephron maintains client relationships with over 100 of the world’s largest and most sophisticated healthcare investment firms in the world. At Nephron, Joshua coordinates coverage of the payors and providers sectors.

 

Adrian Larralde

Adrian Larralde is an experienced marketing and business development specialist with 15+ years of experience in the hospital, healthcare, managed care and pharmaceutical industry. As co-founder of Liaison Marketing Solutions, a startup focused on growing physician practices through increased patient referrals, Adrian has worked on a variety of business ventures over the past 10 years to support nephrology practices. He is passionate about empowering independent physicians and supporting their private practice aspirations.

Dr. Mehta is actively involved in medical teaching of interns and residents at College Medical Center, performs medical research in kidney disease, and takes an active interest in Nephrology Care for the senior population.

Joginder S. Jodhka, M.D., FACP

Dr. Joginder Jodhka has been passionate about Nephrology since graduating Medical School. He has contributed to numerous medical publications. Dr. Jodhka is known for taking the time to truly get to know his patients and develop lifelong relationships. He has been practicing Nephrology since 1994.

Paul Ozuzun, M.D.

Dr. Ozuzun was born and raised in Pasadena, CA. He always had the desire to help others, and knew he wanted to go into the medical field from a very young age. He enjoys living and working in Newport Beach, and gets great satisfaction in being able to provide quality patient care.

 

Ngoc Tram Gia Tran, D.O.

Dr. Tran is actively involved in medical education for interns, residents, and nurse practitioner students as a Clinical Instructor for UCLA School of Medicine, UCI School of Medicine & Cal State Long Beach. She is the director of inpatient dialysis at several hospitals, long term acute care facilities and outpatient dialysis centers. Her main focus has always been providing quality clinical care. Her main areas of interest are CKD care, kidney disease in pregnancy and sodium disorders.

Kaushik Ivaturi, M.D.

Dr. Ivaturi completed his medical education at Kamineni Institute of Medical Sciences in India, and his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Buffalo Jacobs School of Medicine. He completed his Nephrology Fellowship at the University of California, Irvine before going on to work as a hospitalist in Sacramento. It was during this time that he decided his true passion was nephrology. His key areas of interest are electrolyte disorders and glomerulonephritis.

Mohammad Ismail, M.D.

Dr. Ismail has served as medical director of dialysis clinics, and participated in several clinical research trials as principal investigator. His areas of expertise include providing quality care for patients with CKD/ESRD, along with their anemia, hypertension, diabetes and electrolyte management.

Afsaneh Haftbaradaran, M.D.

Dr. Afsaneh Haftbaradaran brings diverse experience with her training in Internal Medicine and Nephrology, caring for patients at hospitals and in dialysis units across Orange County. She considers Patient Education for Dialysis and CKD activities and CKD weekly clinic as the highlights of her Nephrology Fellowship. Dr. Haftbaradaran is a member of the American College of Physicians and the American Society of Nephrology.

Zavier S. Ahmed, M.D.

Dr. Ahmed completed his medical education at Poznan University of Medical Sciences, in Poznan, Poland. He completed his internship & residency at Queens Hospital Center, in Jamaica, NY, and his fellowship at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Los Angeles, CA. He specializes in nephrology and has been practicing since 2017.

Rohini Singh, D.O.

Dr. Singh grew up in the San Fernando Valley and completed her medical education at Western University of Health Sciences COMP. She then went on to Michigan State University affiliated Botsford Hospital to pursue her Internal Medicine Residency and to complete her Nephrology Fellowship as well. Her key areas of interest in Nephrology are CKD care and Electrolyte disorders.

Cuong P. Ly, M.D.

Cuong P. Ly, M.D. is board certified in Nephrology and Internal Medicine. He is currently the Medical Director of Satellite Healthcare dialysis. Dr. Ly is specialized in all aspects of nephrology, including difficult to control hypertension and Chronic Kidney Disease. He has special interest in the care of renal transplant patients and the management of electrolytes disturbances.

Tanzina Nasreen, M.D.

Dr. Nasreen is a dedicated clinician who aims to provide excellent patient care and invest most of her day taking care of her patients in hospital and office setting as well as outpatient dialysis. She provides care for her patients in multiple hospitals located in Los Angeles and northern Orange County, thereby maintaining continuity of care for patients when they are hospitalized. She has a special interest in Chronic Kidney Disease, and the preventive aspect of nephrology.

Alice Park, M.D.

Dr. Park received her medical degree from Saint Louis University and finished her Internal Medicine Residency at University of California Irvine Medical Center. She completed the Nephrology Fellowship training at University of California Irvine Medical Center. She is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Nephrology. She is also on the volunteer faculty at Saint Mary Medical Center's Internal Medicine residency program.

Essam Maasarani, M.D.

Dr. Maasarani received his degree from Alexandria University, Egypt and finished his Internal Medicine Residency in Saint John’s Episcopal Medical Center. He completed the Nephrology Fellowship training at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. He is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Nephrology. He is also on the volunteer faculty at Saint Mary Medical Center's Internal Medicine residency program.

Karen Zoller, M.D.

Dr. Zoller received her medical degree from the University of California Los Angeles and finished her Internal Medicine Residency and Nephrology Fellowship training at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. She is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Nephrology. She is also on the volunteer faculty at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center's nephrology fellowship program. She is also member of Memorial Care's electronic medical records committee.

Jason Chou, M.D.

Dr. Chou received his medical degree from Loma Linda University and completed his Internal Medicine Residency at Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena, CA and his Clinical Nephrology fellowship at University of California Irvine Medical Center. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Nephrology. Prior to joining Coast Nephrology, he was Assistant Clinical Professor at UC Irvine Medical Center for the Nephrology fellowship, Internal Medicine and Family Medicine residency programs. With Coast Nephrology, Dr. Chou will continue in medical education for the Memorial Family Medicine residency program and Saint Mary Internal Medicine residency program.

Hosayn Khaleeli, MD

Dr. Hosayn Khaleeli is a nephrologist in Torrance, California and is affiliated with multiple hospitals in the area, including Lakewood Regional Medical Center, Memorial Hospital of Gardena, and Providence Little Company Of Mary Medical Center. Graduating from Tufts University School Of Medicine in 1995, Dr. Khaleeli went on to complete his residency at La Co Harbor UCLA Medical Center. He has over 27 years of experience in the medical field.

Wayne Tsang, M.D.

Dr. Wayne Tsang specializes in nephrology in Torrance, CA and has over 41 years of experience in the field of medicine. He graduated from University Of Michigan Medical School with his medical degree in 1981. He is affiliated with numerous hospitals in California, including Torrance Memorial Medical Center and Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center Torrance. Dr. Wayne K Tsang is licensed to practice by the state board in California.

Heather McIsaac, N.P.

McIssac obtained her Masters of Science in Nursing and Nurse Practitioner Certification (with Adult Gerontology and Acute Care Specialization) from Cal State Long Beach, graduating with honors from National Honor Society of Nursing, Phi Kappa Phi. She completed her Teaching Certification in Nursing Education at CSULB and currently works as a Clinical Professor for West Coast University. She also works in a nephrology practice with Pacific Renal Care.

Elnaz Malekahmadi, N.P.

Elnaz Malekahmadi obtained her Masters of Science in Nursing Family Nurse Practitioner degree from California State University Long Beach with honors, awarding her admittance to the Phi-Kappa-Phi honors society. Elnaz strives to provide personalized and exceptional care to every patient. She believes that patient education and teaching are paramount to both treatment and prevention of disease.

Maria Ibardolaza, AGNP-C 

Maria Isabel Ibardolaza obtained her Masters in Adult Geriatric Nurse Practitioner  from California State University Long Beach in 2015 and worked as a Primary Care NP in Carson, CA, from 2016-2018. Maria joined a nephrology practice in 2018 and currently works with End-Stage Renal Disease patients receiving hemodialysis.

Cynthia Ly, MPAS, PA-C

Cynthia Ly, MPAS, PA-C is a board-certified Physician Assistant (PA) who earned her undergraduate degree in Human Biology from the University of California San Diego and a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Marist College in New York. She began her career in family medicine and transitioned to inpatient internal medicine and nephrology in 2019. She also works as an emergency medicine PA.

Oswaldo Huerta Franco, PA-C

Oswaldo Huerta Franco completed his training at Miami Dade College.  Through the course of his career, he has worked in various specialties, including Internal Medicine, Pulmonary, Urgent Care, Emergency Medicine, Nephrology and Infectious disease. Oswaldo loves to take true ownership of the clinical management of his patients and to get to know the families involved.  He takes pride in helping the community.

Saba Khan is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner with a special interest in nephrology. She has a strong background in medical-surgical nursing. She was a bedside Registered Nurse for 5 years prior to becoming a Nurse Practitioner. She believes in developing strong relationships and has a commitment to provide personalized care to each patient.

Melissa Hawks, PA-C

Melissa Hawks obtained her Masters degree in Physician Assistant Studies at Samuel Merritt University in the Bay Area. Since receiving her PA credentialing in 2004, Melissa has practiced in Nephrology. She specializes in the care of dialysis patients and treats all stages of chronic kidney disease. She is an advocate for extensive patient education and supports patients playing an active role in their continuing healthcare.
